      <title>Day Dash - Coached Beginner/Intermediate Surf Kayaking in Devon (25 Apr 2026)</title>

&lt;p align="left" style="background-color: transparent; font-size: 18px;"&gt;This activity is Coached and Led by Ian Dovey of Dovey Coaching, Ian is a Paddle UK Surf Kayak Coach based in Devon. He will be providing Sit On Top Kayaks and paddles for this activity but you are welcome to bring a half slice or surf kayak if you have one and have a solid roll or are happy swimming and emptying yourself.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left" style="background-color: transparent; font-size: 18px;"&gt;This session will be somewhere in Devon depending on what the Surf and Swell is doing, it could be as close as Exeter.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left" style="background-color: transparent; font-size: 18px;"&gt;We are planning this as a day trip, get up incredibly early, car share, drive down to Devon, have a blast on the beach kayaking and come back the same day. We are not arranging transport, this will be done in the Slack channel on sign up and you are responsible for splitting the fuel costs between you.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left" style="background-color: transparent; font-size: 18px;"&gt;If you want to stay over and make a weekend of it, thats entirely up to you :)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left" style="background-color: transparent; font-size: 18px;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Club Equipment:&lt;/strong&gt; Equipment is available to borrow, please make sure you &lt;a href="https://piratescanoeclub.com/equipment" target="_blank"&gt;book it out&lt;/a&gt; with the Quartermaster at least 2 weeks i advance&amp;nbsp; and collect at least 1 week in advance of use if away from Lake and deliver it back within 1 week after use.&lt;/p&gt;

Come down and join us for a paddle round the lake, brush up on skills or learn some new ones.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p align="left" style="font-size: 18px; background-color: transparent;"&gt;We do not have permanent changing facilities at the lake but we do have some changing tents available, if you would like a changing tent, ask the coach/leader/helper/committee member on duty for the session and they will get one out for you. An unsupervised paddle group cannot be made up just of juniors. Come down and join us for a paddle round the lake, brush up on skills or learn some new ones.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Come down and join us for a paddle round the lake, brush up on skills or learn some new ones.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
