Camber Sands - Trip Guide

Timing

10am start finishing around 12:30 after which Fish n Chips & relax on beach if weathers good Meeting points: Western Car Park – Camber Sands

Trip Summary

If the sea is calm PCC will take a coastal paddle, if there is some surf to play on at the beach we will remain at the beach. I will probably take a walk to the fish n chip shop around 12:30 time and head off around 14:00h

Consideration to bringing the following

• Money for fish chips, parking, and maybe light pub refreshments for the more social paddlers
• Sun cream
• Plenty of water / refreshments
• Change of cloths
• Wind stoppers
• Sturdy beach shoes
• Maybe a hot drink if it is a cooler day

Notes

All water sport activities are normally limited to Broomhill Sands however Rob Cass (Coastal Officer) has kindly given PCC a concession to paddle from Camber Sands in the zone West of “C” to allow us to minimize exposure from kite surfers in the water sport zone. Please ensure you park in the west Car Park identified. This access is reviewed on a per event basis with Rob and consideration must be given to any risk to swimmers. Access to area will be via walking over dunes.
