Yalding To Teston - Trip Guide
Trip summary
Arrival 10:00 parking on Hampstead Lane (B2162), Yalding adjacent to canal.
Ferry cars to car park just off the B2163 Teston Lane, Teston (Note height limit bar in place enter car park with caution).
On water 10:30.
Distance approximately 3.5 miles.
Anticipated river flow low to moderate flat water with minor sweepers.
Risks include one weir and one to two locks depending on route (i.e. via canal or direct on river).
Exit point: Just upstream of Teston Lock or downstream by bridge (subject to dynamic risk assessment on day).
Off water around 13:00.
Recommend you bring
Money for car park at Teston if you require parking ~£1.70 for day
Hot drink and light snack / pack lunch
Option to stop in The Tickled Trout for light refreshments at the end of trip so may wish to bring some extra pennies !!
