The club has arranged Aquatic First Aid training for our members at the beginning of December. Aquatic First Aid is a requirement for coaches and leaders, but is strongly recommended for anyone going out on the water - we would encourage all of our members to do this at some point.
We have booked a two-day course as we believe this is far superior to the one-day course, giving you time to develop your new skills through practical scenarios and allowing for a bit more fun!
Closing date for bookings is 15th Oct (after this date any places not taken will be offered to non-members).
* The club is willing to subsidise the cost of this course in line with our policy as identified in the Club Handbook section 10.3 ‘Subsidised Course Fees’. (Note: the handbook is on the website). If you want to discuss subsidy or apply for it, please contact the Events Co-ordinator – Sammy Deans. The minor deviation from this policy for this event is that the minimum age for this particular course will be 14 years.
Example:- One of the main areas we are currently short of First Aid Trained people is at the poolside on a Monday evening – being prepared to be part of that rota would be considered as appropriate criteria for the subsidy.
