Spend the day paddling between Tonbridge and Yalding and get to experience an adventure in an open boat (canadian canoe).
We will be setting off from Tonbridge swimming pool at around 10:00 and will stop for a picnic around lunch time. Then expect another couple of hours on the water before we reach Yalding (Tea Pot Island). In total, we expect to be on the water for 4-5 hours.
We will be paddling in pairs so don't be too concerned about the length of the paddle - just make sure you sit at the back so the other person doesn't see you relaxing whilst they do the hard work!
As we don't have open boats within the club we will be hiring them in. The benefit is that the hire includes everything so apart from a little help unloading and loading at each end, you only need to bring your lunch with you.
Hire will include:
On the day, we will meet at Tonbridge for 09:00 and then shuttle all of the cars to Yalding so that they are waiting for us when we arrive at the end of our paddle. Speaking of which, there will be an obligatory drink in the pub at the end!
This is a coached trip, so no experience is necessary and it is open to all ages and abilities.
