Plan will be to set off into the wind and then return with the wind on out back. Hopefully the bank and trees will provide some protection from the wind

Join us on the Royal Military Canal for a gentle peer paddle from Appledore to Kenardington and back.
We will meet at the bridge crossing the B2080 in Appledore on Monday - see https://www.google.com/maps/place/51%C2%B001'41.8%22N+0%C2%B047'26.6%22E/@51.0282889,0.788546,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d51.0282889!4d0.7907347?hl=en-GB
We should be able to park alongside the road and will be paddling to Kenardington and back.
The paddle should take around 2 hours so don't forget a drink and snack.
This trip is suitable for all members who can paddle in a straight line for 50m and self rescue*.
Organiser: Malcolm Oates
Group leaders: Malcolm Oates and Sammy Deans
Don't forget, you must bring your own equipment as we are not currently able to offer equipment!
* A self rescue is generally an eskimo roll or swimming to the bank with your boat and paddle, retrieving it from the water and getting back in unassisted.
