Friend of the club Barry Hughes has agreed to host a contigent of aspiring White Water Paddleboarders on his home turf at the Matlock Slalom course.
This trip is an introduction to moving water for paddleboarders and is aimed at paddleboarders who are competent on flat water and happy to move around their board. Please contact us if you are unsure of your suitability.
The trip will also be open to 3 star standard kayakers who are able to paddle in a peer group.
The plan is to camp in or near Matlock (details to follow) over the weekend and join Barry for a 2 hour session on both the Saturday and Sunday morning. There will be an opportunity to kayak at the same time or in the afternoon for any paddleboarders who also kayak.
Knee pads are advised as is consuming Barry's video archive on facebook - facebook.com/barrywwsup. Barry does have some spare kit if required, though this is very limited.
