Introduction to Canoeing
We are running a series of canoe sessions tailored for those members who wish to give canoeing a try; these sessions will be spread over three single days (weekends); and will consist of two lake sessions and then one river trip.
The final aim is to get everyone up to the Discover Award standard
As part of this introduction, we will cover all of the basic paddle strokes used to control the canoe; even throw in a few games to make it a bit more fun.
These sessions are open to all members and will run with up to eight participants. If you already know the basics of canoeing, then you can skip this first session and then join the next one, which will be on the 22nd of October.
At the end of this first session, you will have gained the Start Award
