I hope you can join us this coming Monday on the Canal. We will meet 12:00 at Seapoint (what three words; ///spoiler.whisker.clincher). We will paddle to the dam and call in at Unit 1 on the way back for a hot coffee, and more if you want it. The total distance is 9 miles, so it is only open to members who can bring along a sea kayak, and are comfortable that they can paddle the distance.
The forecast is not particularly pleasant, being rainy and high winds. Fortunately the wind will be from the SSW, and therefore will blow off the sea and across the width of the canal. The banks will therefore provide a lot of protection. If you do sign on to come, please make sure you are wearing suitable clothing and have a hot drink and food. I would expect the total time of the journey will be around 4 hours.
