North Wales White Water Trip
We will be travelling to North Wales for some fun on 'proper' rivers.
The aim is to travel up on the Friday afternoon/evening and stay at a yr-hen-felin bunkhouse. We will paddle on the Saturday and Sunday morning before travelling back on the Sunday afternoon.
For the Bunkhouse you'll need to bring Bed Sheet, Pillow & Sleeping Bag/Duvet
Loose plan on the water will be: Group 1 experienced paddlers wanting to paddle the Tryweryn (30 min drive) can do so as a peer group. You'll need to be comfortable on Grade III and have a decent roll or very good support strokes
Group 2 progressive and beyond beginners we have a couple of options, we can paddle the top section of the Tryweryn (30 min drive) which is a grade II and offers lots of spots to develop personal skills. We can finish the day with a paddle on the Lower Tryweryn which is a solid grade II river and offer lots a smiles. We can also look to the River Dee (35 min drive) from horse shoe falls to Mile End Mill (MEM)
Group 3 beginners / intro to WW then we can offer below Bala Mill falls which is a good play spot to learn the basics or River Dee from horse shoe falls to Mile End Mill (MEM)Sunday we can either offer the same again or run the Dee from Horseshoe to MEM as a Club trip.
Ideally we'd like to keep group 2&3 together along with any Paddleboarders
