Last Monday night at Conningbrook lake 2022

Regular Monday night session at Conningbrook lake.

Coach dependent, we'll tailor each session to individual wants and needs

All we ask is that you paddle as a group and help load the container at the end of the night.

PCC Committee

-----------------------

The road, access, point to Conningbrook remains unchanged, as to last year, with the same parking arrangements.

(Junction point here https://w3w.co/mirror.logic.class). *

As parking is limited by the lake, we ask where possible, that you drop off boats/kit, and park in the newly laid access road. There are limited spaces, if we park sensibly, we will be able to accommodate everyone.

(Container location is here https://w3w.co/closes.fence.panel)*

PLEASE NOTE.

There are NO official changing facilities onsite. You will either have to get changed by your car or under the shelter by the lake. This is not ideal, we know, but this is what we have to work with. Please consider other facility users (Families / Walkers) when getting changed.

The sessions will be around 1-2 hours so don't forget a drink and snack if needed

These sessions are suitable for all members who can paddle in a straight line for 50m and perform a self-rescue**.

Please bring your own equipment if you have it, however we have access to our store boats so equipment can be borrowed; including SUPS (stand-up paddle boards), Canoes and Kayaks.

(You will be expected to assist with the unloading and loading of the container for any equipment used)

* We are now using WHAT3WORD when giving out meet up locations; it provides a more precis location for more remote sites that we use. If you do not already have it on your phone, we strongly advise downloading the app, its free so no reason not to have it. It is also used by emergency services throughout the southeast and can be given as a location reference when needing their services. (https://what3words.com/)

** A self-rescue is generally an eskimo roll/rescue or swimming to the bank with your boat and paddle, retrieving it from the water and getting back in unassisted. This can be taught in the skills session.
