Join us on the River Medway for a peer paddle from Hartlake bridge up to Eldridges Lock and back.
We will meet at on Hartlake road by the bridge - see https://what3words.com/gravy.prep.pies for its location
The plan will be to paddle up river through the locks and stop for something to eat at Eldridges Lock then run the canoe shoots as we paddle back to Hartlake. This will be a leisurely trip and we will paddle at an easy pace... depending on the river flow we might play on each of the canoe chutes
We should be on the water for around 3/4 hours so you will need to bring a drink and some lunch/lunch.
This trip is suitable for all members who can paddle in a straight line for 50m and self rescue*.
Organiser: Malcolm Oates
Don't forget, you must bring your own equipment as we are not currently able to offer equipment!
* A self rescue is generally an eskimo roll or swimming to the bank with your boat and paddle, retrieving it from the water and getting back in unassisted.
