  • Plan here is to paddle around the lake stopping of at different points to focus on one skill at a time.

    Paddling within this group you will take responsibility for each other
  • Enjoy time on the water with like minded paddle boarders.

    As part of this group you should be able to deal with any minor mishaps. Like getting someone back on their board.

    Why not spend the last 30mins of the evening practicing your rescue technics
  • Ideal for beginners or those members wishing to fine tune their paddle boarding skills

    We will base the session on student lead learning - you tell us what you want to learn / improve on.
  • This group is for the junior paddles that will be accompanied by a supervisor

Monday night on the Medway

We will be paddling from Tonbridge to Hartlake.  This will form the trip part of the Discover award but members are welcome to come along.

This is a ONE-WAY trip, so you will need to agree a shuttle system with other members.

The car park at Tonbridge is Pay and Display and the WHAT3WORD is:

///noting.melon.lots

We will probably be paddling for about 2 hours, getting off the lake at Hartlake Bridge:

///views.quit.stuck

If you are borrowing club equipment, please remember to book it with the Quartermaster.  Unfortunately, we are unable to transport club equipment.

Organiser and Leader: Sammy Deans

* We are now using WHAT3WORD when giving out meet up locations; it provides a more precis location for more remote sites that we use. If you do not already have it on your phone, we strongly advise downloading the app, its free so no reason not to have it. It is also used by emergency services throughout the southeast and can be given as a location reference when needing their services. (https://what3words.com/)

** A self-rescue is generally an eskimo roll/rescue or swimming to the bank with your boat and paddle, retrieving it from the water and getting back in unassisted. This can be taught in the skills session.
