Capri-Sun Kids Sessions - A code from Capri-Sun Scheme is required to book on these kids sessions.
Session Dates Available: 17th June 2024, 15th July 2024, 12th August 2024 18:30 to 20:00hrs
This session will be held at Conningbrook Lakes where we will talk through the fundamentals of paddling and have a go paddling. This session will include some time on the water so be prepared for the weather (suggestions below)
What is included: All the equipment needed for each session:
· Craft - either Kayaks/Canoe/SUP
· Paddles
· Helmet
· Buoyancy Aid
· Wet suit (optional)
· Dry top (optional)
· Access to Conningbrook lake
This session must be pre-booked as so we know how many coaches we need for each session; we cannot accept on the day arrivals.
Alfresco changing rooms. Unfortunately, we do not have changing rooms on site. We do have changing tents for you to use. Due to the nature of kayaking, you may get wet, so please bring a towel and warm, dry clothes (inc footwear) to change into.
There are no toilets on site, although you can use the Julie Rose.
Wet suits. As a club, we have some wet suits you can borrow along with a dry top to keep you warm. If you are using our wet suits, please wear a swimming costume underneath. If you would prefer to use your own clothes, please remember that they will get wet and man-made is better than cotton. You may want to wear a thin waterproof to keep the wind off.
Footwear
· Beach shoes / sandals are ideal.
· Old trainers
· Wet-suit booties
Swimming: You will need to be able to swim 30m and be confident around water.
Supervision: A parent/carer must be present on the bank for the entire session as per our standard Juniors members policy.

As parking is limited by the lake, we ask where possible, that you drop off boats/kit, and park in the newly laid access road. There are limited spaces, if we park sensibly, we will be able to accommodate everyone.
