Join Sammy for Sea Kayak Sea Training.

Meet Time: 9:30
On Water Time: 10:00
Finish: Latest 12:30 off water
Craft: Sea Kayaks preferred however any craft suitable for the sea environment
Plan: This will not be a journey but based in a specific area and will focus applying what we know, knowledge sharing and testing each other.
The intention is not to get wet but there is no guarantee so dress for the water temperature.
If you have a tow line or access to one please bring it with you.

Kindly Note the Parking Attendants on Folkestone Harbour are very active, even for a short time to unload boats and will give instant parking tickets. It’s recommended that you bring a trolley, get ready and unload at your car.
Club Equipment: Equipment is available to borrow, please make sure you book it out with the Quartermaster and collect at least 1 week in advance of use if away from Lake and deliver it back within 1 week after use.
Skills level Required: At a minimum you must have paddled the craft you are bringing previously and you must be able to self rescue or be rescued. You must be at PUK Explorer Level or above - read further about the levels here to ensure you are at the correct level.

By Signing up to this event, you are confirming you are have the paddle ability stated in the event details, this could be a self rescue, a specific PUK craft award or skills of equal level.
The coach/leader/Instructor is viewed as being responsible for leading the session, managing safety, enforcing rules and making informed decisions in response to changing conditions or emergencies.
Participants are expected to follow the instructions of the coach/leader/instructor, to act responsibly, follow club rules, support each other and the general safety of all participants
It is your responsibility to update the leader of the paddle if you have any new medical issues not on your PCC website profile.
